Civil Engineer:

A Civil Engineer that will be based out of our Princeton office.  Need a self-motivated, dedicated person looking to grow with our company for a Qualified candidate will have 0-3 years of experience and be familiar with Mass Highway rules and regulations regarding plan preparations and design. A BS or MS in Civil or Construction Engineering & Management is essential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Preparation of traffic impact studies, traffic capacity analysis, operational simulation analysis, signal design, timing plans, freeway and urban geometric design.
  • Signing and marking plans, and construction traffic control.
  • Job responsibilities include direct supervision and training of staff performing miscellaneous traffic engineering tasks.
  • May coordinate departmental or divisional project studies, reports or project design assignments.
  • Progressive design and project management responsibilities.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
  • Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.
  • Related experience in the preparation of traffic impact studies, traffic capacity analysis, operational simulation analysis, signal design, timing plans, freeway and urban geometric design.
  • Completion of Master’s degree in related field (may be substituted for one year of experience).
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

  • Entry to 3 years experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in civil engineering
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be computer literate; ArcGiS, AutoCAD, Synchro and MicroStation a plus.
  • Occasional overtime might be required.
Design Engineer (Traffic Engineering, Traffic Data Collection & Transportation Planning):

Job Description:

Responsible for performing traffic data collection, data reduction, engineering analyses and engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Project roles and responsibilities require performance of various design and study related traffic engineering tasks, as well as field inventory.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Perform traffic data collection
  • Perform operational analysis and safety studies
  • Performing data reduction and analysis
  • Performing engineering design on projects under the guidance of a Professional Engineer
  • Prepare Traffic Signing, Striping & Pavement Marking design plans
  • Prepare MOT, TMP and Detour Plans for design projects
  • Perform traffic analysis and modeling
  • Perform traffic signal, signing, striping and electrical plan design
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction

Required Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in a team-based management style
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD) (i.e. MicroStation, AutoCAD)
  • -Written and oral communication skills

 Required Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of design experience in the transportation field
  • BSCE or MS degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from ABET accredited engineering program
  • Valid Driver License
  • EIT/FE certification preferred
